Plagiocephaly clinical and craniofacial research articles are relatively sparse. Among the few published articles are a wide variety of studies ranging from simple case reports to well-designed cohort investigations. Variations in study designs, mean diaviations and randomized methodology for obtaining data often make it very difficult to draw accurante quantitative and qualitative conclusions related to the medical necessity for cranial remolding bands beyond the emblematic 'cosmetic' category.
